Where to Find Tour Spot 2: Straight back from the entrance/lobby and tour spot 1, go past the elevators and stop in the large area near the windows with many computers.
The small computer desk near the elevators and Magazines and Newspapers is the check-in desk for STEM and business tutoring. The first floor provides tutoring in accounting/economics, anatomy and physiology, biology, chemistry, computers, math/statistics, medical terminology, and microbiology. Students check in with their SF ID to work with tutors for course content support. Students should take a colored card which matches the subject for which they might need help with. Tutors who are able to offer assistance in that particular course are wearing matching colored lanyards. No appointment is necessary and students can sit wherever they like.
The larger area along the back wall with the computers is the STEM and Business tutoring area. Tutors are available in person 6 days a week, but check the tutoring hours for specific subject availability. Once you have checked in at the computer station and taken the subject card, take a seat. When you are ready for a tutor, place the card on the metal stand and a tutor will be with you shortly. Tutors are also available online!
To the far right of the back area is a glassed-in room with the skeletons. That is Y-115, the Anatomy & Physiology (A&P) Room. A&P tutors work here helping students with their studies by engaging with them in a hands-on approach through the use of anatomical models and an Anatomage table, a digital dissection tool which is loaded with over 2,600 annotated anatomical structures in 3D.
Turn away from the Anatomy and Physiology room and head west, back toward that central column where the elevators are. To the right of the elevators and to your left are the restrooms and water fountains for the first floor. There are also restrooms and water fountains in the same location on the second and third floors. A unisex restroom is on the second floor.
Now head to Spot 3: Go past the restrooms and turn left.
