Getting Started with Research

The Library has many guides and resources available to help you get started with a research assignment.

  • Research 101 - A introductory guide on the research process and how to use the resources available at the Tyree Library.
  • Tutorials - A collection of video tutorials on library services and resources, including how to use various databases.
  • Services for Centers and Online Students - A guide specifically for students taking online classes or classes at an SF Center, with information on available resources and services.
  • Subject Guides - Subject-specific guides for research in certain disciplines, such as psychology or nursing, with suggested search strategies, books, databases, and websites.
  • Library How-To Guides - Library research tutorials and presentations and citation resources for APA, MLA, and Chicago.
