When taking classes online or at an SF Center, there are many ways to access information without visiting the Library in-person.
Online Resources
There are many eBooks and streaming videos available online, located through the library catalog. Sign in with your Office 365 account to access the full text or video.
Request an Item
Physical materials, including books and videos, can be sent to any SF Center. Locate an item in the library catalog and Sign In with your Office 365 account. Next, click the Place a Hold link and select your Center under Pickup Location. View the Item Delivery to the Centers video tutorial for more information. Items should be available within 2-3 business days at your requested Center's reception desk. When you are finished, return the items to to the same location.
Request a Scan
Items in the Reference Collection do not leave the Library. However, you may request a scan of a chapter, entry, or page range from a reference book. Locate an item in the library catalog and Sign In with your Office 365 account. Click the Request a scan option and provide as much information as you can about the portion of the book you need scanned. There are copyright limitations which limit how much can be scanned.
Research Help
Librarians are available to answer all your research and resource questions. Remote options include phone, text, email, chat, and Zoom. View the Research Help page in order to contact a librarian. If you are taking classes at the Blount Center, contact Scott Tarbox, whose office is in Blount Hall (DB-213C), or by phone at 352-395-5233.
