Use the research strategies page to identify ways to search for books on or related to your topic. Once you have identified your search terms, type them into the library catalog:

For print books, copy the call number to find it in the Library. Books in the Circulating Collection are on the third floor. You may check out 20 books for 4 weeks with your SF ID card.

For eBooks, click the Available Online link and log in. Use your Office 365 login to access the full text.

By default, the library catalog searches holdings at Santa Fe College. If you would like to expand your search to the 40 Florida public colleges and universities, change the Library Catalog drop-down in the search bar to Statewide Catalog. You may request items from the statewide catalog be sent her for free.

Items that state Check in other libraries may be requested.

Click the title and then click Sign in in the How to get it area. Sign in with your Office 365 account.

Choose UBorrow Request.

Change the pickup location to a Center, if desired, and Send Request. Check your SF email to see when the book arrives. You will pick up the book at the first floor Circulation Desk.

The University of Florida George A. Smathers Libraries has many resources that may be helpful to you in researching your topic. You may check out ten books for free with your SF ID card. Please complete the Access to Library Services Application two business days prior to visiting.
To get there from Santa Fe College, take RTS bus route 43, which picks up at S building and passes by Library West. You may ride for free with your SF ID card.
You may also request any book that we do not own by filling out an Interlibrary Loan (ILL) form or requesting a book via UBorrow. This is free for you, but may take a week or two to fulfill, so plan accordingly.
