Limiting to .gov and .edu
In Google or another search engine, typing site:edu or site:gov will limit your search to .edu or .gov sites, respectively.
.edu sites are affiliated with academic institutions, mostly colleges and universities. .gov sites are affiliated with government agencies, both national and local.
What about .org sites? Site with a .org have no inherent credibility on their own. Anyone can purchase a .org domain with no restrictions. Though many nonprofit agencies may have a .org domain, they can still have bias (look at PETA - peta.org).

Consider looking for information in a news aggregator like Google News, which brings multiple news source together.
