I enjoy the book They Both Die at the End because it shares the message of living life to the fullest. We never know how quickly our life can come to an end so we must live every day like it is our last. It shows the reader that it doesn't hurt to try new things or meet new people. Within the story two characters named Mateo and Rufus meet and spend their "Death Day" together. You feel truly connected to the characters as the story goes on and get hooked as you continue to read. "No matter how we choose to live life, we both die at the end." - Adam Silvera

This book (Les Misérables) is a true masterpiece of French literature. I would recommend this book because it is a great story that is told in a beautiful way, it explores the theme of social injustice, and it shares love, passion and courage with the reader. Every time I opened the book to start reading, it felt like time ceased to exist.

Books That Changed History caught my attention because it is a recapitulation of the greatest books. The presentation and the content is very interesting. Besides, it is a good representation of the library.

The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes is a prequel to the well-known Hunger Games series. The book tells the story of President Snow’s youth and how he developed into the character we know from The Hunger Games. This story has a little of everything which is why I loved it so much. This book shows action-adventure betrayal and a star-crossed lovers arc. This book will make you love and hate The Hunger Games villain President Snow while giving you a deeper understanding of him as well.

I chose this book (It’s Not Me, It’s You) as my favorite in the library collection because it changed my perspective in how I look at and approach the different relationships in my life. This book also continues to help me better myself to becoming a more understanding human being.

I chose Harry Potter Part 6, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, as my favorite book because I've been a fan of the Harry Potter series since I was seven or eight years old. The series has always been my favorite, both in terms of the books and the movies. As I grew up with the characters and the world they inhabit, they became an important part of my life. The Half-Blood Prince stands out to me in particular because of its darker tone and emphasis on character development and relationships, which allowed me to deepen my understanding and connection with the beloved characters.

The reason I chose this book (Twilight) was because it was the first book I ever read. Its romance, fantasy, and fiction allowed it to be my comfort movie and read of choice. I love this story.

This book (Brujas: The Magic and Power of Witches of Color) is a start to understanding my family's practices. On both sides we struggle with language barriers. This book gives me a more in depth guide as to why we always grow certain plants or do what we do.

I like [the novel] 1984 because it isn't a generic/boring dystopia where there is a clear wrong that everyone, both the reader and characters, notice (at least initially). 1984's world is one in which everyone is enslaved to the power of The Party, whether knowingly or not. The power of propaganda hypnotizes people into thinking their life is as good as it could possibly be and that there exists no better. This seems realistic and interesting to me. I would recommend 1984 just because of the premise honestly. It puts a lot of effort into showing how people get angry at made up enemies, which is what the book is really about - not just the issue with capitalism, but how people have "invisible goals".

A collection of several essays, this book provides a very valuable insight into everyday working life for Native Americans after the arrival of Europeans. It's commonly known that Native American land was stolen by European and later American settlers, but how communities and individuals adapted afterwards isn't often examined. The essays in this book center around the adaptation and survival of Native American Nations as they use their remaining resource, their own labor, to survive after being robbed of their traditional methods of subsistence.

I was initially drawn to this book because of its colorful design and the author's ambitious goal of delivering a cookbook that encompasses all of Latin American cuisine. He succeeds in many ways, from accurately translating the names of dozens of dishes into common English language to providing a very useful glossary of ingredients and spices that explains to the reader the origin and usefulness of each ingredient. Each recipe is presented in a concise recipe card, next to some wonderful photography. This book is an excellent read for anyone wanting to learn more about Latin American cuisine and culture.

This is a fun and beautiful story of how growing can be challenging, but not impossible, with the right and loving people.
