E. (Eleanor) Blair

Eleanor Blair moved to Gainesville in 1971 and began painting Florida scenes establishing herself as a much-respected member of the local art community. Additionally, Eleanor performs with the Gainesville Orchestra.

L. (Linda) Blondheim

Linda Blondheim is a landscape painter who grew up around farmers and cattle ranchers on the rural land of her parents. Her studio is located on a rural property just north of Gainesville, in cattle country.

Phil Capen is well known throughout Florida and the Bahamas for his paintings of Florida landscapes and the Bahama Out Islands.

Peter Carolin is a University of Florida alumnus who is also a well-known local landscape painter. Mr. Carolin has also taught at Santa Fe College.

Virginia Chen

Virginia Chen was born in Hong Kong and relocated to Gainesville after attending university in the United States. In Gainesville, Virginia began watercolor painting and became active in the local art community. Virginia has completed watercolor paintings for both the University of Florida and Santa Fe College.

Susan Dauphinee

Susan Dauphinee is a graduate of the Ringling School of Fine Arts in Sarasota, Florida. After making her home in Cedar Key, Susan continued to paint Florida landscapes and has become well known for her impressionistic style.

Florida Highwaymen

The term "Florida Highwaymen" refers to an initially informal group of African American artists in Gifford, Fort Pierce and surrounding areas of Florida active during the 1950s-1980s. Over a span of 30 years, the 26 artists amassed an estimated production of more than 150,000 paintings.

James Hutchinson is a unique Florida artist who lived with the Seminole Indian tribes on the Brighton Reservation for six years. He was inducted into the Florida Artists Hall of Fame in 2011.

Allison LeBaron is a local North Central Florida artist who began painting to decorate her pottery and then began painting Florida landscapes. Ms. LeBaron has also taught at Santa Fe College.

After living and working in South Africa for 28 years, Mary Jane Volkmann relocated with her family to Gainesville, Florida and has been active in the regional artistic community. In 2006, she was selected as Artist in Residence, Sapelo Island, for the Georgia State Parks.
